SearchWP

The free version of SearchWP creates a live view of drop down search results for user queries. The positioning and styling of the results can also be customized.

Akismet Anti-Spam

Akismet Anti-Spam filters comments and puts posts that look like spam in a folder for review. It can also straight up delete the most egregious spam so you never have to see it, if that is desired.

Health Check & Troubleshooting

This plugin does a number of checks to make sure your WordPress installation doesn’t have any configuration issues. It can also identify possible security weaknesses like inactive plugins and outdated SQL servers.

Limit Login Attempts Reloaded

This plugin helps combat brute force attacks by allowing you to place limits on how many failed login attempts someone can make before they are locked out. It also provides customization options like how long the lockout should last, as well as features for whitelisting and blacklisting IP addresses.

Speed Optimizer

Speed Optimizer is a useful tool for decreasing the load speed of your pages through caching and other optimization features.
